All New Mexico Mule Deer hunts take place on private land, therefore you do not have to go through the state drawing. Your license can be purchased over the counter. Lodging will be taken on the ranch, at what was once the ranch headquarters but has now been converted to a comfortable hunting camp. All hunts booked are one guide per two hunters, unless a one-on-one hunt is requested, at additional cost.  

Hunt Area
You will be hunting in southeastern New Mexico near Roswell. Make your flight arrangement into Roswell where we will glad to pick you up and take you to the ranch. El Paso, Texas or Albuquerque, NM are options will require you to rent a car, and have a drive time to camp of approximately 3 hours. 

Ranch Size and Description
The ranch is over 90 thousand acres, with typical desert habitat of rolling hills and brushy dry wash bottoms. Areas of the ranch have deep canyons with limited access. Expect most of your hunting to be spot-and-stalk, so good optics are a must.

Hunter Success
Most years, hunters success is near 100%. Every effort is made to take only mature bucks having 10 or more points. Shot ranges vary from under 100 yards to 300 yards.

Last week of November - First 2 weeks of December.
TEXAS RUT HUNT
First 10 days of January.​

Details
Your Texas Mule Deer hunt will take place in west Texas near Marfa. Make your flight arrangements into El Paso or Midland Texas, drive time from either city is about 2 ½ hours. Your license can be purchased over the counter and we will pick it up for you in advance of your hunt. Lodging will be taken on the ranch at what was once an open range cowboy camp. We have hot showers, flushing toilets, and a generator for power. 

All hunts are booked are one guide per two hunters, unless a one-on-one hunt is requested, at additional cost.    

Ranch Size and Description
The ranch is 36 thousand acres, going from what is considered antelope habitat to rough steep canyons suitable for Aoudad sheep. Ground cover ranges from cedars, live oaks, and typical desert habitat. 

How Far is the Ranch?
Once to Marfa it is another hour and a half to the ranch 
El Paso Airport to Marfa: 190 Miles
Midland/Odessa Airport to Marfa: 183 miles

Hunter Success
Hunter success is high near 100% on mature bucks; we only take 6 mule deer off this ranch per-year. This hunt offers the hunter the opportunity for a combination hunt to take one javelina, hogs and varmints, all part of the hunt package. For a trophy fee, Aoudad and Del-Carmen Whitetail can be added.
